Pu Tien Restaurant

Celebrated Dad's bdae at Pu Tien. They were having this high tea promo at tamp mall. Very affordable! So we decided to give it a try. Food wasn't really great and it wasn't a fully ala carte style buffet. Guess we wouldn't be back unless someone decides to give a treat. Kekeke... Bought Dad a bdae cake, Oreo Cheesecake from Bakerzin. HeeHee... Another March Promo! :p

Bistro Senso @ the Singapore Flyer

Celebrated my colleague HC's bdae makan session at Bistro Senso @ the Singapore Flyer. We went there for their 3 course set lunch which cost only $12 or $16. Good deal right? It includes a soup/salad, main dish and a dessert! This restaurant is quite ulu... only a few tables were seated. Aniwaz, I feel that the merchants are the flyer are suffering badly from the recession and drop in the number of tourists. The air feels stale over there, or maybe its becos its a weekday :p

Mushroom Soup of the Day - not bad as it was served piping hot!

Ham and Cream Penne - normal bah, at least its al dente

Spaghetti Aglio Olio - took a bite from my colleague, quite spicy!

Salmon dish - serving was huge, definitely more worth it

Tiramisu - my only complaint was its temperature, it should be served cold lor... this was room temp

Northern Thai

Gave cutie a treat to a scrumptious lunch at Northern Thai. Have been recommending cutie to this stall for quite some time cos she loves pungent tom yum soup. Prices are very reasonable lor... We ordered dishes to share, the tom yum soup was the highlight of our meal that day. Saw some tables ordering fried fish, pretty good looking. Hmm... shall order it next time :p

Pineapple rice - quite dry, not worth ordering

Star dish - Tom Yum Soup. Really thick and nice with fried fish too!

Omelette - simple fare that's nicely executed

Fried kangkong with sambal - cheap cheap $3 only

Sbey Sbey Thai Food

Doesn't the name of this Thai stall remind you of a Thai song? kekeke... it used to be a popular Thai song wor... Anyway, my parents recommended me this authentic Thai stall which is opened by Thais. So after much nagging from me, they decided to bring me there for lunch on a weekday. However, what caught my eye was a long queue in front of a nasi pandang stall called Che Rose. Shall jot it down on my must try list.. Hahaha..
Actually, this entry is to tempt cutie who loves Thai food. Okay, i shall be nice to her. Cutie, I bring u go there makan next time okay?

Here are the dishes we ordered to share...

Fried Tang Hoon - nicely executed with good wok hei!

Pineapple fried rice - better than the one served at Northern Thai

Tom Yum Soup - not as thick and lemak as Northern Thai but still nicer than First Thai @ Purvis Street

Thai fish cake - mediocre

Fried chicken wings - indeed very crispy! Yummy!
