Taipei - Day 1

Went to Taipei for my graduation trip cum holiday cum Boonie's bdae. We took so many pics, I'm kinda lazy to narrate each, so I'll just post some of the interesting pics. We went to Taipei's partyworld ktv, a huge room for the both of us which includes a personal restroom wor... Remember to bring your student pass when travelling to Taiwan, most places recognizes international students and offers student price :)

il Lido Italian Dining

Boonie and I celebrated our 3rd Year Anniversary at il Lido Italian Dining. The bill came up to $160+ which includes a gourmet set menu for $88, a main course and 2 bottles of still water at $9 each! A romantic place, great for dates or special occasions.

The menu...

Aqua Panna still water at $9 each.

Complimentary bread.
Thinly sliced garlic crisps which helped us curb our hunger while waiting for the dishes to arrive.

Complimentary fried oysters.
The boss who was around that day instructed to serve these complimentary starters to all guests. :) What a warm welcome.

Panroasted Goose Liver with “Renette” Apples, Celeriac Cream and Port Wine.
Oh.. I lurve foie gras. Quite a fat slice there.

Squidink Fettuccine with Crab, White Wine and Peppermint Oil
Tasty pasta which hits the palette at the right notes.

Sautéed Mix Seafood with Zucchini & Peppermint
I had this as my main course. The seafood was very fresh and succulent, lurve the huge scallops.

Atlantic Cod with Thyme Potatoes and Italian Parsley Sauce
Boonie chose this for his main from the gourmet set menu. The cod was very fresh and had a firm bite, served with delectably seasoned whipped potatoes.

Molten Lava Chocolate Cake with Coconut Ice cream
I somehow felt that vanilla ice cream would be a better combination than coconut ice cream.

The molten chocolate oozing out as I cut it open.

Tea set from the set menu.
